is a splendid Victorian Country house set in six acres of attractive gardens and fields in the beautiful Devon countryside, next to the Cornish border. It is close to the sea, in the unspoiled hamlet of Welcombe. The house has been skilfully converted into apartments of various sizes. All have been carefully modernised to provide every comfort, whilst retaining the original Victorian features giving them style and character. There are also two 16th century cottages adjoining the house. All the accommodation is fully equipped for comfortable self-catering but we also have an excellent licensed Restaurant open every evening. We have a Games room and solar heated outdoor Swimming pool . Children love our friendly, tame farm animals and pets. Heating, linen and towels are included in the price.Pets very welcome. Short breaks available in the low season.
There are many excellent tourist attractions for both children and adults within easy driving distance of Berry Park. "The Big Sheep", "The Milky Way", "Killarney Springs" and "Brocklands" all provide popular family days out. For those who enjoy sports, there is a choice of indoor swimming pools, "golf courses", horse riding, tennis & squash at various venues. Water sports and fishing are available at several places along the coast as well as at the Tamar Lakes. The famous fishing village of "Clovelly" is a short drive away and day trips to Lundy and fishing and diving trips on the Jessica Hettie are available from there. In addition to the diversity of it's landscape, the area also plays host to a wonderful selection of fine gardens. RHS Rosemoor is 45 Minutes drive away and a visit can be combined with a trip to the Dartington Crystal Factory. Other gardens nearby are at Hartland Abbey, Clovelly Court, "Docton Mill", Tapeley Park and Marwood Hill.
