Beautifully situated in a lovely part of the country, mid-way along the south-east shore of lovely Loch Awe, on the B840, amidst some of the finest scenery in Argyll, Blarghour offers the discerning visitor a choice of high quality accommodation, carefully managed, in situations of great beauty, which afford peace, privacy and seclusion while being centrally situated for touring.
Blarghour is a hill farm of 2,000 acres on which 900 sheep and our herd of highland cattle graze. Isabella and her daughter Catriona run Blarghour Farm Cottages. All four properties have been awarded the 4 star classification of the Scottish Tourist Board.
Barr-Beithe Upper sleeps 6.
This delightful cottage enjoys superb views across Loch Awe from a slightly elevated position, set in a mature garden of heathers, alpines and azaleas. The cottage is double glazed, centrally heated, and has a spacious conservatory from which to appreciate the glorious vista of the loch and hills.

This pleasant cottage is situated close to the water and enjoys delightful views across Loch Awe. The cottage is double glazed, centrally heated, and has a spacious sunroom from which to appreciate the ever-changing beauty of the loch.
Stable sleeps 4
Stable, formed from the conversion of a barn, provides an exceptional vista of Loch Awe from three full length windows which open onto a terrace. The spacious and elegant lounge/dining room is lit by seven full length windows and features a handsome spiral staircase. The lounge and outside terrace enjoy lovely views across loch-awe and beautiful evening sunsets. There is a gas fire, colour TV and telephone.
Barn sleeps 2
Barn has been specially designed to provide accommodation for 2 persons and enjoys a hill view. Central heating and double glazing provide for a cosy retreat at any time of year. The open plan lounge/dining room has a gas fire, colour TV and telephone. Three large velux windows and a full length window in the south gable catch the sun and contribute to the warm, bright atmosphere.
Out & About Touring and Exploring Argyll. Within easy reach during a days motoring are Glencoe and Fort William with spectacularly awesome mountain scenery, Loch Lomond, Loch Tay, The Trossachs, Dunoon and Loch Eck with famous Benmore Gardens, Lochgilphead, Crinan, Easdale, Gigha, Islay and Arran, and Oban (gateway to the Isles) with ferries to Mull, Iona and Staffa. Locally, one may visit Inveraray Castle, seat of the Dukes of Argyll and experience a tour of the town's 18th century jail. Cruachan Hydro Electric Power Station, where visitors are driven into the heart of the “hollow” mountain, also deserves a visit. Oban and Campbeltown both have distilleries that are open to visitors. For children, there are many lovely safe beaches. Oban Seal & Marine Centre with seal pup nursery and outdoor pools is very popular.
