This former coastguard cottage has been extensively modified to provide spacious and comfortable accommodation for up to 8 people. There are four bedrooms - two ensuite - and a third bathroom. (Note that one room has bunk beds).
The sitting room leads straight out on to the patio which has fabulous sea views frequently commented on in the Visitor's Book. You can sit having breakfast here watching the shipping go by!
Just beyond the garden is the South West Coast Path and the land around is all owned by the National Trust. There are wonderful walks from right outside the cottage and sandy coves nearby. The area is well known as a favourite with bird watchers. The nearby village of East Prawle is a mile up the road and has two pubs both of which also offer food. In the season there is also a cafe and village shop.
The cottage has all the usual features (washing machine; dishwasher; TV; wood-burning stove etc) and is well equipped. There is also a phone. It is, in fact, a second home for the family and so is very well cared for has a very homely feel. We have many visitors who come back year after year because it is such a wonderful and unique location. Out of sesaon we are happy to negotiate rates for smaller parties and shorter breaks.
