Cottages Our holiday cottages are
mostly in the Western Lake District, especially in Eskdale, Wasdale,
Ravenglass, Gosforth and Ennerdale, although we also have houses in the
Borrowdale valley near Keswick, in the Duddon Valley near Coniston and in
Grasmere. This part of the Lake District has a slower, quieter pace of life
than in the more bustling centres of Windermere and Ambleside. Here, there are
still more sheep than people, a real sense of tranquility, and hundreds of
wonderful walks, either along the river banks at valley floors, the coastal
beaches of the Irish Sea or high up on some of the most spectacular fells in
the country. Our self-catering accommodation gives you the flexibility to cook
at home, or to visit the many welcoming pubs within easy reach, offering
traditional Cumbrian foods and ales.
