cottage is furnished to a high standard and comes with central heating, a log
burner in the living room, television and video and a well-equipped kitchen

Flexible short breaks
with flexible accomodation. Nestling in the river Axe valley, rich with
wildlife, Bakers Mill is a 16th century working farm, comprising a Grade II
listed stone barn, and four attached cottages. Set around a courtyard featuring
a mill culminating in a small wildlife pond we also have a games room.
Threshers Barn sleeps 6, the master bedroom has a four poster, and there
are two twin bedrooms. All have en-suite facilities. The Wheatsheaf has
a super-king size bed and ensuite bathroom. Direct access to garden. The
Cobb has flexible beds, either as twin beds or if requested, a super-king
size bed. En-suite. Both these cottages are ground floor. The Granary
has a first floor bedroom sleeping 2 in a king size sleigh bed.. Millers
Cottage sleeps 2/3 in a
super king size bed, and a single bedroom with some privacy. Direct access to
garden. All have fully equipped kitchens, linen, towels, heating and
electricity included in tariff. Dogs welcome. Cot, chair bed for small child,

Mill Cottage is a listed luxury holiday cottage on the River Piddle in
Dorset’s Thomas Hardy Country, Its secluded idyllic riverside position in
the Purbeck rural conservation area is stunning and unique. The Dorset stretch
of the “Jurassic Coast”, England’s only World Heritage site, is
but a short drive away. The Rivers Piddle and nearby Frome have some excellent
fishing. Mill Cottage is ideal for adults and older children but is not toddler
friendly, particularly because of the large and unfenced river frontage. The
accommodation consists of five bedrooms (double or twin) with ensuite bathrooms
for up to ten guests. The Hall, sitting room and dining room all have seating
for ten people. There are terraces for alfresco dining at the front and
riverside of the Mill. The former stable is a spacious well-planned kitchen
boasting an Aga, low voltage halogen lighting and electrically operated
skylights for controllable ventilation. Briantspuddle is a small village lying
in the River Piddle Valley next to Affpuddle and Tolpuddle. The village lies
within the Purbeck conservation area and is stunningly beautiful. The area is
