We have converted an Essex barn and stable block to a very high
standard, providing three self catering cottages with a Gold Award an 4 star
accereditation from Visit Britain. The cottages are situated in a designated
area of out standing beauty. If you are looking for a peaceful holiday in the
countryside or wish to visit the many local attractions, this is an ideal
location. The landscaped garden has an area of grass for children to play, a
patio with garden furniture and gas barbecue, garden games available include
croquet and badminton. The farm has a flock of sheep and a small herd of Dexter
cattle, in the spring lambs may be seen playing in the field at the rear of the
cottages. Wild deer roam the fields and may be seen grazing or lazing in the
sun. Fishing is available at the nearby fishing lakes, day tickets may be
purchased. There are some lovely walks along the Stort valley and on the many
footpaths and bridleways. This corner of Essex has some of the most picturesque
villages in Essex. If you wish to eat out we have a good choice of restaurants

tree-lined drive, then pass our beautiful ponds and find the cottages nestled
under pine trees awaiting your arrival along with a tea tray laid up with
home-made cake. Tawny, Snowy & Little Owl cottages have been lovingly
restored from an C18 barn into a trio of well appointed and furnished cottages,
the character of the fine old beams and exposed studwork retained but the
convenience of modern living incorporated and carefully modified for our less
than able guests. We are centrally located for touring both Norfolk and Suffolk
yet are only a short walk to the village shops, pubs and the River Chet for
fishing and day boat hire and a complete haven for the birdwatcher and rambler
