Meadowview Cottages
Long Buckby, Northamptonshire, England

Property Description

Meadowview Cottages offer luxury accommodation in a peaceful rural setting. Both of our cottages were originally used as farm buildings, but have been tastefully converted in a sympathetic manner for the comfort and convenience of our guests.

The Granary offers two bedrooms sleeping five, with en suite facility in a conventional two storey lay-out.

The Coach House offers similar facilities all on one level.

Both cottages have well equipped kitchens with microwave, dishwasher, tumble dryer, washing machine and fridge-freezer. Oilfired central heating keeps everywhere snug. If you like a real fire, the Coach House has a wood burner, with wood supplied by the farm. Furniture and fittings have been tastfully selected to compliment the surroundings, helping the establishment acheive its 4 star rating from Visit Britain. Each cottage has parking for two vehicles with additional parking available if required. A patio area and Bar-B-Que is provided for those warm summer evenings. Our prices have no hidden extras. Heating, lighting, linen and towels are included. Both cottages now also offer free wireless internet access.

Location

The cottages are situated in a rural location adjacent to the farmhouse in the centre of our working farm and lie in a peaceful, secluded valley two miles from Long Buckby. This is a thriving village of about 2700 people with two supermarkets, a bank, a chemist and a number of other shops and businesses. The village also has a mainline railway station with direct links to London and Birmingham.

Meat produced on the farm is available in Long Buckby for home cooking, and also at a local pub which serves excellent meals.

Whilst staying with us you will be able to experience life on a working farm, walk along the local footpaths passing through our fields and fish in our private lakes stocked with Carp, Tench, Roach and Perch. We appreciate there are many danger areas on a working farm and so have provided a safe play area for children to enjoy themselves in view of the cottages.

Our Surrounding Area

This part of Northamptonshire, at the Heart of England, has a rolling landscape with a suprise over each horizon. The Gunpowder Plot was planned at Ashby St Ledgers, and the Civil War ended at the Battle of Naseby.

Daventry, the home of Radar, is five miles away, and offers shopping, a leisure centre complete with swimming pool and a country park with water features. The Grand Union canal passes a short distance away with Stoke Bruerne Canal Museum well worth a visit.

Also locally we have golf clubs, carting and horse riding available. Silverstone Racing Circuit is a half hour drive away and Rock
