Meadowview Cottages offer 4 star self catering accommodation in a peaceful rural setting. Both of our original cottages were historically used as farm buildings, but have been tastefully converted in a sympathetic manner for the comfort and convenience of our guests. We have recently opened a 3 bedroom log cabin sleeping up to 6 people offering an eco-friendly experience for our guests to enjoy.
The Granary offers two bedrooms sleeping five, with en suite facility in a conventional two storey lay-out.
The Coach House offers similar facilities all on one level.
Both cottages have well equipped kitchens with microwave, dishwasher, tumble dryer, washing machine and fridge-freezer. Oil fired central heating ensures that they remain warm no matter how cold it is outside.. If you like a real fire, the Coach House has a wood burner, with wood supplied by the farm. Furniture and fittings have been tastfully selected to compliment the surroundings, helping the establishment acheive its 4 star rating from Visit Britain. Each cottage has parking for two vehicles with additional parking available if required. A patio area and Bar-B-Que is provided for those warm summer evenings. Our prices have no hidden extras, heating, lighting, linen and towels are included. Both cottages also offer free wireless internet access.
Larkrise Our log Cabin opened in June 2010 and offers 3 bedrooms sleeping up to 6 people. The cabin is built to a very high Swedish specification making it very cosy and energy efficient. It uses an air source heat pump to provide heat during the winter and cool the cabin in the summer and also has a 4 star rating. The cabin sits in the old farmhouse garden and has a very private feel, the large covered verandah and enclosed garden give children somewhere to play no matter what the weather.
Location
The cottages are situated in a rural location adjacent to the farmhouse in the centre of our working farm and lie in a peaceful, secluded valley two miles from Long Buckby. This is a thriving village of about 3500 people with two supermarkets, a bank, a chemist and a number of other shops and businesses. The village also has a mainline railway station with direct links to London and Birmingham.
Meat produced on the farm is available in Long Buckby for home cooking, and also at several local pubs which serve excellent meals.
Whilst staying with us you will be able to experience life on a working farm, walk along the local footpaths passing through our fields and fish in our private lakes stocked with carp, tench, roach and perch. We appreciate there are many danger areas on a working farm and so have provided a safe play area for children to enjoy themselves in view of the cottages.

Larkrise is our exciting new development offering a unique visitor experience. It is a timber built Scandinavian log cabin which has three bedrooms and sleeps up to 6 people. It is set in the farm's orchard and has been built with a heavy emphasis on ecologically sound building principles. The cabin has its own garden complete with apple and pear trees, a herb nursery for guests to use for cooking and an enclosed play area making it ideal for families wishing to have friends and relatives visit during their stay. The large open plan living and dining area has a high vaulted ceiling and double doors which lead out onto the covered veranda. The living room is equipped with a Freesat high definition TV, Blu-Ray player and CD player so if you or your children wish to bring your favourite films or CD's with you you are welcome to. The master bedroom of Larkrise has a double bed with it's own en-suite shower room, we can also provide a cot if you are bringing a baby with you. The other two bedrooms are set up as twin rooms and have lovely views over open fields. These bedrooms share the main shower room which has level access into the shower for visitors with limited mobility. The kitchen has been equipped with everything you could wish for during your stay and includes a gas hob with an electric oven. We have also added free wireless internet access to the cabin.
Larkrise is heated by a state of the art air source heat pump which combined with a heat recovery system provides full heating in the winter and air conditioning in the summer throughout the cabin, providing you with a very cosy stay. We have been amazed by the ability of this system which combined with the exceptional levels of insulation have helped contribute to our "excellent" rating for new buildings.
