Spacious family house, rebuilt new in 1986. Sleeps 13 comfortably. Magnificent views to north over Solent, and to south over Freshwater Hills. The garden extension across the coast road runs down to the sea wall. Easy walking distance from picturesque town of Yarmouth with its harbour, shops, ferry, pubs and restaurants. Patio and enclosed garden facing south is a sun trap. Hard standing for 4 cars. All modern amenites including central heating, TVs, telephone (by request), cooker, dishwasher and microwave. Power showers in two bathrooms. Ideal for 2-3 generation family booking, or for 2 families on holiday together. Amenities include beaches, sailing, surfing, golf, tennis, riding, walking, cycling, sightseeing, eating and drinking out.
Downstairs, there is a hall, two large bedrooms with three single beds in each (i.e. three sets of twin beds split between the two rooms), a bathroom including bath and power shower, a kitchen area open through an arch to a sitting/dining area, both these rooms connected to a large south-facing conservatory with sunblinds. Upstairs, there is a landing, a master bedroom with twin beds and sink unit, a bedroom with a double bed and sink unit, a children's room with solid (double) bunk beds, a third single bed and sink unit, a bathroom including bath and power shower, and a large lounge with a picture window with a splendid sea view looking out over the Solent.
The conservatory opens on to an external, also south-facing, patio, and an enclosed garden with hard standing at the end for four cars. As a small ante-room to the conservatory, there is a utility room with a large sink, washing machine and lines to hang clothes. There is also a revolving washing line on the external patio. Across the coast road, opposite the house, is a wooded extension to the garden with a path leading down to the sea wall. The house is centrally heated. The kitchen equipment includes an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, and plenty of glass, crockery, cutlery and pots and pans, etc. There are televisions upstairs and downstairs, one of them including a video. There is a telephone which can take incoming calls (01983 760236). It is normally barred to outgoing calls, but can be unbarred by special arrangement; we usually find this is not needed nowadays, as tenants have mobile phones and/or phone cards.
Utilities charges, including such things as the central heating and hot water, are included in the rental fee. There are two cots in the house plus plenty of duvets, pillows and blankets, but guests are requested to bring sheets, duvet covers, pillow cases, towels and tea towels.
