The Maltings Cottage is a lovely mock tudor cottage in a beautiful secluded setting. It was originally 3 cottages, knocked into one in the 30's. It is set in 3 acres of grounds and is quite charming. There are four double bedrooms, two twin and two double, also large lounge, small snug, dining room and kitchen. Two bedrooms have wash basins. There are two toilets, one up, one down and one large bathroom with bath and shower. The garden has a large lawn, an orchard, a bar-b-q and there are garden chairs in the shed. The cottage has central heating as well as log fires. It is well equipped but guests need to bring their own towels and bed linen. The Maltings is situated near to Stowmarket and is within 15 minutes reach of Bury St Edmunds and Ipswich. It is about 35 minutes from the sea at Felixtowe and is within reasonable reach of Constable Country and many local attractions. It is a great getaway place as well as being a very comfortable base for a family holiday.

The Maltings Cottage is a large, very spacious house which is perfect for the extended family or large parties of friends. This beautiful, secluded residence is set in 3 acres of lovely grounds. Its peaceful, isolated location at the end of a narrow lane really makes a car essential for guests at the accommodation.
The Maltings Cottage is very near Stowmarket. This ancient, market town lies on the River Gipping, and is surrounded by a rural landscape and picturesque, Suffolk villages. There are lots of fine restaurants, gastro pubs and inns near by. The owners are happy to put guests in touch with walking groups to explore the area. The Maltings Cottage is available all year and can be booked for short breaks.
