Thurston View Cottage sleeps 4 and is an old, stone miner's cottage with magnificent views across Coniston Village and the Lake to the Grizedale Forest. The centre of the village is only a few minutes walk away. The cottage has been subject to a thorough but sympathetic renovation resulting in a comfortable layout with a lounge, dining kitchen and utility room downstairs and two double bedrooms and a fully tiled bathroom upstairs. To the front of the property is a small terraced garden with garden table and chairs. There is private parking for one car.
The cottage is fully equipped and has central heating, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble-dryer, TV and Video and a Living Flame gas fire in the lounge. Gas, electricity, bed-linen and towels are included in the price. .
Thurston House is a large Victorian house now converted into seven self-contained apartments. It is located a few minutes walk from the centre of the village and the lake.
Flat 1 (1st floor) Comprises of a hallway off which are four rooms:- Dining / Kitchen, Lounge (a large fully-furnished room with comfortable seating for six and a double bed), Bedroom (with double bed and single bed) and Shower-room / toilet.
Flat 2 (1st floor) Comprises of a hallway off which are four rooms:- Dining / Kitchen (also has a single folding bed), Lounge (a large fully-furnished room with comfortable seating for five and a double bed), Bedroom (with double bed), Shower-room / toilet.
Flat 3 (2nd Floor) Comprises of a hallway off which are four rooms:- Dining / Kitchen, Lounge (a large fully-furnished room with comfortable seating for five/six and a double bed), Bedroom (double bed and a pair of bunk beds), Shower room / toilet.
Flat 4 (2nd Floor) Comprises of a hallway off which are four rooms:- Dining / Kitchen (also has a single folding bed), Lounge (a large fully-furnished room with comfortable seating for four and a double bed), Bedroom (with two 2' 6" single beds), Shower-room / toilet.
